Going up… new lift screen installation for Andaz Hotel

Using a combination of technology and content design, we have recently completed an installation at Andaz Hotel in the heart of East London. The installation features screens located installed behind mirror glass in each lift in the hotel.

Our content is driven dynamically via a signal directly from the lift that determine the direction. Based on this direction we trigger different content to play simply based on the direction of travel- either up or down.

Using London’s East End as inspiration, the screen displays different cockney rhyming slang terms describing the surrounding area. The typographic animations than gather at the top or bottom of the screen depending on the direction of the lift.
